You can only give, share, love and live productively with others from a place of contented fullness. It is therefore important that we cultivate self-love.

  1. Nurture yourself, surround yourself with love. Practice good self-care. Keep fit physically, mentally and spiritually by eating well, exercising, getting proper sleep and praying. Check your thoughts to ensure they are healthy positive thoughts and avoid negativity.
  2. Accept yourself and embrace your flaws. Change what you can and celebrate your quirky bits as unique presentations of yourself. Focus on what’s going right and marginalize it, that is where your motivation and energy and will stream from.
  3. Forgive yourself for past flaws and forgive others for what they may have done to you in the past. This will help you get rid of toxic energy. Victim-hood and blame keep you stuck and hinder future progress. Understand that you alone are responsible for your life and what happens in it and set boundaries to how you would like others to treat you.
  4. Live intentionally and become more actively involved in the direction you wish your life to take. Trust yourself, follow your intuition and be your number one fan!
